Happy (Almost) 4th of July!

by Kate on June 29, 2012

Well here we are, almost to July already! Wow, I feel like the time is just flying by. Independence Day is less than a week away and I cannot wait! July 4th is actually one of my favorite holidays. I love gathering with family and friends, eating outside, playing all day but most of all, I really love fireworks. I wish they happened more than just once a year. This year with the holiday falling smack in the middle of the week this year, I have a feeling people could be doing some celebrating a little early. Either way, I thought perhaps you might be on the lookout for some delectable treats for your get togethers. Here are a few things that have been big hits around this time of year. Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July! Enjoy your family, friends, food and fireworks!

Ah, thanks for this blog post! I’m originally from Rhode Island, and I used to love celebrating the fourth by the ocean, eating tons of good food and enjoying the summer sun. I’m actually in Thailand right now, and I’m at a loss of how to celebrate the holiday here…perhaps I’ll make that berry trifle to get in the spirit :) Have a happy 4th of July!

Wow! Thailand! That must be so interesting, to live in that part of the world and experience another culture. I’m so glad you liked my post and I hope you enjoy the trifle. Happy 4th of July!
