Haagen Dazs Peppermint Bark Ice Cream

Happy Saturday! Hope everyone had a great week! Here in New Jersey we got our first glimpse of snow this week. Snow! Ok, maybe it really was only a flurry but all of a sudden it’s quite chilly. It feels like we’ve just completely skipped autumn and are launching right into winter which is just absolutely ridiculous. I want seasons back! Actual lengthy seasons, like months long not mere weeks long. Nonsense I tell you, Mother Nature!

Being that I’m talking about the weather, you can probably guess that it was an uneventful week in my life. It was spent catching up on baking and cleaning house. Booooring! So my apologies for not having something more interesting to share here with you this week.

The highlight of the week was discovering that Haagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark Ice Cream is BACK!! Seriously pathetic, I know but that stuff is addictive. AND it was on sale! Win! So I bought 6 of them 🙂 Hey, this only comes around for a very short time each year. Gotta make the most of it!

Birthday Decorations

The real highlight of the week was that Maddy turned 4 yesterday! Since we had the big shebang for both Maddy and Molly last weekend, I wanted to make her actual birthday still feel special. So I surprised her by decorating the living room and saved her presents from Mike and I until yesterday and didn’t give them to her at the party. She was thrilled when she walked into the living room to see all the hoopla!

So that was my week. Not very eventful but definitely a good one. Oh! Hmm, peppermint bark ice cream, you say? That sound pretty good! I’m the odd-girl-out on the chocolate+mint bandwagon – does this have chocolate in it, too?

There’s just a small amount of chocolate from the bark pieces but it’s peppermint ice cream with bits of peppermint candy and a bits of chocolate. It’s mostly peppermint and the chocolate can be easily avoided 🙂

It’s one of my favorite flavors! Last winter I made marshmallow peppermint bark ice cream. CRAZY good!!
