One of the things I love most about the holiday season is the plethora of cookies available at any given moment. Chocolate chip cookies or slice and bake cookies or even cookies with a little surprise in the center. But some cookies are just classic like Oreos. This iconic little cookie can stand alone and be perfect but add just a few simple ingredients and you get Oreo cookie balls! Have you ever made them? They’re a bite-sized treat made with three easy ingredients and guaranteed to be gobbled right up off your holiday cookie platter.

While the creation of some holiday treats can only add to the stress of such a busy time of year, OREO cookie balls are easy to make and a great way to spread a bit of festive cheer. There are so many versions of this fun holiday treat but you know how much I love chocolate and peppermint paired together so for me, this creation of peppermint Oreo cookie balls only seemed natural.

Nope, not at all Mimi. They’re quite soft, like biting into a chocolate truffle.
