Mexican Hot Chocolate Twist Bread -

Tender sweet dough with swirls of Nutella, cocoa and a touch of spice. If that doesn’t sounds like comfort food, I don’t know what does. This Mexican hot chocolate bread has swirls of sweetness in each bite. Sprinkled with a cinnamon cocoa sugar inside and out, it’s perfect for a breakfast treat or with your afternoon cup of coffee or tea. No matter when you enjoy a slice, you’ll savory each nibble.

I love the little hint of spice in this unique bread. If you’ve ever experienced the pleasure of a cup of Mexican hot chocolate, you know exactly what to expect from this beautiful loaf of bread. If not, Mexican hot chocolate is smooth, creamy drinking chocolate with hints of cinnamon and chile powder. I added a touch of cayenne to this bread because I love the subtle warmth it adds when paired with chocolate. If you’re not a fan of spicy with your sweets, feel free to leave it out but really you should give it a try sometime! We’re not talking “burn your tongue off hot” or anything. I promise!
