This week there’s a very important celebration happening. You see, my baby has a birthday coming up and by baby, I mean my first born. HB is turning 17 this week! How in the world has it been 17 years since this cutie pie came into the world? As a new parent everyone tells you it goes so quickly and to cherish every moment. As a new parent you can even begin to imagine just how true this really is. In a blink of an eye sleepless nights lead to school days. Kindergarten comes and goes and before you know it, you find yourself the mother of a 17-year-old young lady.

She’s creative and bright with a love of photography, good music and art. She’s learning to drive which scared the hell out of me. I’m learning to let go a bit and trust her. Trust that she is the smart, responsible young lady that her father and I have raised her to be. Each stage of parenthood comes with its own unique set of challenges. This is mine at the moment.

So this weekend we celebrated HB and her 17 years on this Earth. She and I spent a day in Manhattan. HB loves Asian food so we went out for an amazing lunch at Ruby Foo’s. Her birthday present this year were two tickets to Book of Mormon which is where we headed after lunch. Our evening was spent with family celebrating with dinner, cake and presents, of course.

Remember about two weeks ago I was telling you all about the Sprout by HP? The amazing touch screen/touch pad computer that allows you to blend the 3D world with 2D digital, the super responsive, easy to use, endless creative possibilities computer? Since we last spoke, I’ve been getting even more friendly with the spectacular machine. At first, I attempted to try creating a beautiful invitation using some candy that I scanned. I had a loose idea in my head but when it came to executing that idea, it just wasn’t working out as planned. In case you were wondering, small round candies roll. A lot. Everywhere.

Using this tool I was able to create an invitation for HB’s celebration that was exactly what I was looking for. This tool gave me everything I needed to create the perfect project. The CraftStudio is so easy to use and takes mere minutes to complete a creation. Are you a crafter or scrapbooker? You will absolutely love this! Stamps, stickers, punch holes or designs from the digital paper, beautiful patterns and fonts, there are so many different ways you can create. You can even implement your own pictures or capture objects to use in the CraftStudio.

I created two different invitations thanks to the ease of use, this only took a short time. HB loved the one with the punched edges best and I agree. I love the small details that can be added to enhance the project. Whatever you have in mind, you can create it! Be sure to check out how you can create, do business and more with the Sprout by HP! And take a look at the little video I put together while I was creating this cute invitation.

**Disclosure: This post is sponsored and I was provided with a Sprout by HP at no cost to me through my relationship with Collectively. All the opinions and experiences expressed here are my own.
