As each and everyone of you know, I have quite the sweet tooth and clearly, I indulge in a lot of baked goods and desserts. It’s kind of my thing. I exercise superhuman amounts of self-control mostly by getting it all out of my house! I send most of the food I make over to the firehouse where my husband works, bring it to work for the medics at my job or send it with my mother-in-law to her office. Of course, I always have a portion of each thing I make. All in the name of recipe testing. Gotta make sure it’s good enough for you all! See the things I do for you? The sacrifices I make? It’s a tough job eating dessert, but someone has to do it.

When I’m not baking and cooking up sweet indulgences I try to eat pretty healthy in “real life.” My diet consists of a lot of whole grains, high protein and of course, lots of fruits and veggies. I get a lot of those fruits and vegetables in the form of smoothies or a protein shake, especially after a run. Mike is always buying those Naked Juice Smoothies. Have you tried them? They’re a great way to get your daily intake of fruits and veggies. Every bottle comes packed with 1 pound of fruits and vegetables!! How crazy is that? That’s a lot of fruit and veg packed into 15.2 ounces. Wow!

Truth be told, despite seeing him drink them I’d never tried them. I’m just not big on juice. I tend to stick to milk, water and a much needed cup of java every now and then. I’ve always viewed juice as empty calories without many redeeming qualities and I’d just rather eat an orange or an apple. Recently I was asked to sample Naked Juice Smoothies so I accepted and decided to see what all the fuss was about cause my husband thinks they’re the cat’s meow. I sampled the Mighty Mango as well as the Strawberry Banana and I gotta tell ya, they’re tasty!

I’m not a fan of anything Strawberry Banana so already I had it in my head that I wouldn’t like that flavor but I was pleasantly suprised. Not only are there 22 strawberries and 1 1/3 bananas in that unassuming little bottle but they crammed almost 2 apples and a hint of orange too! The Mighty Mango was my favorite though. With mangoes, oranges, apples, bananas and lemon the flavor was bright, vibrant and transported me to a tropical island. I liked both these juices and can’t wait to try some of the fruit/veggie combinations as well.

Naked Juices 2

Naked Juice is worth its weight in good! There’s a pound of fruit in every bottle. My mind is already spinning with other ideas of how to enjoy Naked Juice Smoothies besides just simply drinking them right up. I know I’ll use them as a simple, healthy addition to my protein shakes. But I also think they would be a great ingredient too. I could see tossing some with Greek yogurt and whole fruit or whipped with yogurt to make a healthier cool pie filling. There are so many simple, healthy ways to enjoy Naked Juice Smoothies.

Enjoy!
