Minute-LogoWe are officially in the thick of it, the holiday season. With the season comes food and a lot of it! With parties to attend, cookie exchanges and holiday meals to prepare one can certainly get overwhelmed. That’s where this hearty, creamy, oh so decadent Eggnog Multi-Grain Rice Pudding with Pears & Spice Honey comes in.

Sure, this sounds fancy and time-consuming but thanks to Minute® Rice Multi-Grain Medley, this is one holiday dessert that’s done in a flash! Have you tried this new variety yet? Minute® Multi-Grain Medley is the newest product from Minute® Rice. It’s a blend of four gluten-free foods and made with 100% whole grains, including long grain brown rice, Thai red rice, wild rice and quinoa. You know how much I love quinoa so it’s a no-brainer that I would love it blended with so many hearty varieties of rice. And it cooks so quickly, only 10 minutes!

Minute® Rice has been helping families create great meals since 1949. I grew up eating Minute® Rice and now I share it with my children. Minute® 100% Whole Grain Brown Rice is a delicious, nutritious product that I always have on hand for our dinners. It has the same nutritional values as regular long cooking brown rice, but is ready in just 10 minutes, making it super convenient when I’m trying to get dinner on the table.

But since discovering Minute® Multi-Grain Medley, I’ve really been enjoying using it in everything from a warm breakfast bowl to our weekly dinners. It was only a matter of time before I used it in a dessert. I really love the slightly chewy texture and nutty flavor but it’s the versatility of Minute® Rice Multi-Grain Medley that’s the best part. In this rice pudding, a holiday classic gets a new spin thanks to Minute® Rice Multi-Grain Medley while the addition of eggnog gives it even more of a holiday feel. Perching fresh, ripe pears on top cuts some of the sweetness and just a drizzle of honey is the perfect finishing touch.

This Eggnog Multi-Grain Rice Pudding is also just as wonderful all by itself if you’re not a fan of pears or you find it sweet enough without that extra drizzle of honey. No matter how you choose to eat it, I know you and your family will enjoy this as much as we have.
