Banana Split Tacos -

Of all the sugar, of all the desserts, ice cream is by far my favorite sweet treat of all. I love making homemade ice cream of all types and putting my own touch to them. Classic mint chocolate chip with a waffle ice cream sandwich spin. Oh yeah, those are ah-mazing! Kids and adults alike love those handheld treats. Cheesecake is another favorite dessert of mine. Cherry cheesecake ice cream anyone? Sweet swirls of cherries and graham cracker crumble are oh so nice together.

This week over on Food Fanatic we are celebrating the humble taco.  Yup, the contributors are completely taking over with a week of nothing but tacos! There will be over 20 tacos for your to feast your eyes on. So you could probably guess I would jump at the chance to spin tacos to the sweet side. Viola! Enter these Banana Split Tacos. I took the classic ice cream sundae of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream and slipped it into homemade taco shells dusted with cinnamon, sugar and cardamom. The finishing touch was topping them with whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate sauce and a cherry, of course!

These Banana Split Tacos are the ultimate sundae recipe and a spoon is completely optional. Pick one of these delicious dessert tacos up with two hands and enjoy! Don’t forget to head on over to Food Fanatic every day this week to see what other taco deliciousness is happening and in the meantime, read more about this Banana Split Taco Recipe today.
