The holidays are a time to celebrate faith, celebrate family, reconnect with friends and focus on all we have to be thankful for. The holidays also happen to be a time for cookies! Cookies and lots of them. As we gather with family and friends, there are often a platter of holiday cookies of all varieties. Each year we get together with friends for a large cookie exchange, baking dozens of one type of cookie to bring to the party and leaving with dozens of varieties in hand. It’s a wonderful way to get all your holiday cookies done in a fun, festive way with friends.
This year, I’m looking for some extra special cookies to add to my cookie platter. Something extra special, a little out of the ordinary or classics with a unique twist. Here I’ve collect 25 favorites I’ve found to share with you. Hope you find something extra special to share with your family, friends or perhaps a jolly old man in a red suit. Merry (almost) Christmas!
Enjoy!

Thanks for including my Snowballs, Kate! I hope my mom likes this special version of her favorite. What a wonderful selection you have here. Have a magical Christmas!
Wow, what a gorgeous round-up! Those cayenne cookies, and the mushroom cookies sound so delicious! I went home to Michigan last weekend, and my mom sent me back to NC with 30 different kinds of cookies to enjoy! My waistline is not happy, but my tummy is VERY happy! Have a very Merry Christmas! Hugs, Terra
Thank you so much Terra! And it sounds like your tummy must be very happy indeed. YUM!
