Apple season is officially upon us! Autumn is my favorite season. Cool, crisp days filled with crunchy, vibrant leaves and crackling fires. Apple picking is one of my favorite autumn activities. I love making apple desserts, mulled apple cider and even apple cider doughnuts. There are no shortage of apple recipes around here!

These Apple Fig Gorgonzola Turnovers are a fine addition to that category! Flaky puff pastry is filled with a dollop of fig jam, fresh apples and a few crumbles of gorgonzola cheese. You can make this easy Fig Jam to pair with the apples and cheese in these turnovers or use your favorite store-bought fig preserves.
